Vista Q&A with Alina Lee

What drew you to wealth management?

I studied finance with an emphasis on planning because I saw practical value in being able help my family and loved ones. However, my passion for the field really flared once I saw the tangible improvements in their lives. I was thrilled to learn that my technical skills in retirement planning, insurance, taxes, investments, and estate planning were not only practical, but could translate into helping people achieve what is truly important to them. The most rewarding part of my job is building relationships and guiding my clients through the financial impacts of life transitions.

What do you enjoy most about Vista?

My colleagues are the heart of Vista and truly care for our clients. We are able to work hard, but also take time to get to know each other and develop friendships.

What do you feel is the biggest value Vista brings to its clients?

The collaboration and expertise from all the advisors to review a client’s initial plan is something you do not see in other advisory firms.

Which quality makes you best suited to provide wealth management services?

Compassion allows me to actively listen to our clients needs and concerns.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

Obtaining my CFP designation early in my career, becoming a Social Security expert, and currently in the process of getting my Master’s in Advanced Financial Planning at Golden Gate University.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

The decision to move across the country from Virginia in early 2018 without knowing anyone in the area.

What do you love to do outside of work?

I love to explore, hike, and dance. Northern California is a great place for hiking.
