Vista Q&A with Krissy Rhoades
What drew you to wealth management?
I spent over 10 years of my career focused on income taxes, and what I liked the most about being a tax professional was advising on tax planning ideas, answering technical questions, and problem solving on unique issues. I was drawn to wealth management because financial advising is the foundation of what we do, and I can spend my time focused on forward thinking, financial planning, and helping my clients overcome challenges, which I love to do.
What do you enjoy most about Vista?
Vista is comprised of a top notch team that is collaborative and engaging to work with. Our team has various strengths, talents, and experiences to draw from, and it is part of our culture to utilize each other’s skills to excel for our clients.
What do you feel is the biggest value Vista brings to its clients?
We understand that our clients are busy and rely on us to take care of their financial needs in a proactive and thoughtful way. The Vista team focuses on being there for our clients, and thrives on providing excellent investment and financial advice.
Which quality makes you best suited to provide wealth management services?
I give my all to anything that I do. If a client or colleague needs my help, I will do whatever it takes to help them and won’t be satisfied until I’ve accomplished the task at hand to the best of my abilities. I’m stable, calm, and optimistic even in challenging or stressful situations.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am proud to have completed my Masters in Taxation while working full time. I started out by taking one class that I was interested in, and subsequently decided to complete the entire program to further develop myself technically. I continually see the benefits of this accomplishment.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I love playing soccer and can usually be found out on the pitch at least a couple of times a week. I also love the adventure of traveling to other countries, learning about different cultures, and trying new things. One of my favorite trips was a 10-day hike to Annapurna Sanctuary Base Camp in Nepal. The scenery was majestic and I enjoyed the challenge.
If you could play a character from a movie, whom would it be?
I would play Hermoine Granger in Harry Potter. She is smart, brave, driven, and embraces adventure. Oh yes, and she can do magic!
