Vista Q&A with Bob Adams

What drew you to wealth management?

The opportunity to work with interesting families, to understand what is important to them, and to develop plans to ensure they reach their goals.

What do you enjoy most about Vista?

Knowing that we make a positive difference in people’s lives.

What do you feel is the biggest value Vista brings to its clients?

Delivering competent, thoughtful, and caring advice provides our clients with peace of mind.

How should people think about their wealth?

Wealth is more than just financial assets. Wealth affords a quality of life that lets you do what’s most important to you and your family - to have experiences that last a lifetime.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

I took the risk to change careers after 13 years at IBM, and built an independent financial advisory firm from scratch - one client at a time.

What is the biggest challenge in providing advice?

Truly listening. Knowing what questions to ask is a start, but ‘hearing’ what is being said is crucial.

What's the most influential book you've read and why?

‘The Lessons of History’ by Will and Ariel Durant, Pulitzer-Prize-winning historians. The title says it all.
