Vista Q&A with Warren Jackson
What do you enjoy most about Vista?
The people. Vista is a very collaborative and team oriented firm. Each Vistan brings passion to his or her work and collectively we challenge one another to improve the experience that we deliver to our clients.
What do you feel is the biggest value Vista brings to its clients?
The caliber of professionals that have been assembled at Vista is second to none. Our clients benefit from a world class breadth of knowledge that most investment advisory firms are not able to provide.
Which quality makes you best suited to provide wealth management services?
My professional journey has included stops at small, medium and large investment advisory firms. Having experience with vastly different investment philosophies and client profiles has helped me build a unique knowledge base to draw from when delivering financial advice.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
Earning the CFA designation. The CFA was a rigorous and challenging program that demanded a high level of focus and determination. The work ethic has carried over to my personal and professional life.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I love doing anything fitness related, which includes a passion for playing softball both recreationally and competitively. I am a firm believer in the mind-body connection.
What is the biggest challenge in providing advice?
I think the biggest challenge in providing advice is understanding how each client thinks and feels. If you are able to empathize with a client then you can frame advice on his or her terms, and are therefore more likely to have a meaningful impact.
