David and Sara
David and Sara are successful executives at public companies; busy raising two teenage children. With no formal long-term plan in place they were starting to have questions about college costs and retirement. Both David and Sara had accumulated wealth through their respective company equity plans and an inheritance from Sara’s parents.
They needed help determining how to best monetize their company stock in a tax efficient manner and reinvest the after-tax proceeds. Other planning considerations included: reviewing their estate plan before the children reached adulthood, addressing the separate property issues arising from Sara’s inheritance, evaluating investment real estate, and consolidating IRAs and 401(k)s from prior jobs.
David and Sara wanted an advisor that could guide them through all of these issues, help them prioritize their goals, and take the lead on executing the resulting action items.
